Jan Hase (CEO & Co-Founder of Wunderflats) grew up in Berlin. During his high school years Jan worked on an indoor positioning and navigation algorithm, was rewarded with an innovation price and started to study computer science and economics at Free University of Berlin. After high school, Jan was Lead Web Developer at Wincor Nixdorf and founded his first startup Scanny, a mobile loyalty app (http://scannyapp.de), but it failed. Afterwards he started working as a freelance consultant and mentor at the immobilienscout24 incubator You Is Now. There he met Arkadi Jampolski and they founded Wunderflats. Additionally to his occupation as manager and founder of Wunderflats, Jan was elected to be chairman of the economic board of CDU e.V. in the branch Berlin.
Arkadi Jampolski, born in Saransk (Russia), has been living in Germany since he was 8 years old. He was very hardworking as a student already - although rather outside than inside the classroom - and established sales teams for local newspapers in Osnabrück and Münster. As a student he completed the European Business Programme in Münster and the United Kingdom and afterwards joined Axel Springer SE in the division for international Mergers & Acquisitions.
However, Arkadi did not stay long and founded Stipendiata instead, a social career network for excellent students. Even though the project failed, things were going well for Arkadi. He got to know Jan Hase and together they founded the company Wunderflats in 2015.
Meanwhile, the company has got more than 40 employees and grows 15% - 20% every month.
Jan and Arkadi’s mutual vision that they are looking to realise through Wunderflats is to give everyone the freedom to live wherever they want whenever they want it.
